Our Christian-owned, family-oriented race team has but one Mission: To Win. And NOT in the way you think.
We are here to win souls for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Our team will most often be found at Winchester Speedway, in Winchester, VA, but we also race periodically at Hagerstown, MD, and Natural Bridge, VA, competing in the Rush Dirt Late Model Series. We plan to attend special events out of the Shenandoah Valley on "one-off" events, such as Potomac, Port Royal or Susquehanna, PA.
We would LOVE to attend your event!
We would bring along the car for all the participants to experience a real race car up-close and personal. Contact us!
Your destination to keep up with where Almost Home Motorsports will be!
TWO IN A ROW!!!
Another DOMINANT performance by Davin “Kid” Kaiser and the Almost Home Motorsports crew! Thank you to all our sponsors who have helped to make this possible!
So proud of Davin, David and the whole Team! Special thanks to Jim Stevens for the help and setup!
What a DOMINATE night! Even with Pill Draw, Davin was able to start up front in his heat race because Jim Pownall elected to go to the rear (thanks, Jim!). This set up Davin for a great launch and an excellent performance in his heat race, leading by as much as FOUR seconds before the last-lap caution was thrown. He stuck with it, capitalizing on the lead and won his first heat race at Winchester Speedway in 2024! Then, with the pill re-draw, Tyler Hoy drew a "2," which gave Davin the Pole. He launched off Turn 4, and there was no looking back. He controlled the race masterfully, leading by as much as 1.8 seconds until he came to lap traffic, which allowed 2nd Place Jeremiah Marshall to gain 1.2 seconds. But, once past the lap traffic, Davin continued to drive smooth and straight and won his first race of the 2024 season! Praise God! We are so incredibly proud of this team, and we are looking forward to finishing out this year strong. We are currently in the points lead, so we plan to pursue the Winchester Speedway Track Championship. Wish us well!
Watch the LAST LAP PASS!
What a NIGHT!
Thanks to all our Sponsors for your support!
WINNER!!! 🏁🏁🏁
First of many victories to come! So proud of Davin “Kid” Kaiser and all the crew that makes this happen! We’re SO STOKED to finally park Evan Sabine’s name in Victory Lane after 3 years of grinding!
Quite a night! Battled the RAIN as a shower came through, delaying the start of the evening. It was 8:45 PM before we could start our heat race! No Time Trials because of the Modified Mafia coming to town, and the pill draw put us starting P3 in the Heat. Got into a little dust-up and ended up finishing P4. This made us start P8 (Outside, 4th Row) in the Feature. The Feature brought out several cautions to start, but once we got going we were able to climb our way up in the ranks. For several laps, Positions 2-5 were under a blanket, exchanging places back and fourth. Eventually, two cars bumped and forced themselves out of the groove, opening the door for Davin "Kid" Kaiser to shoot through and capture P3. By this time, P1 had pulled away, and we just didn't enough time to reel them in. ANOTHER PODIUM FINISH! That makes 7 P3s and 2 P5s this season, NEVER finishing out of the Top 5. Way to go, Davin! We're so very proud of your skill and accomplishment! It won't be long and we'll PARK it in Victory Lane!
What a great day for Almost Home Motorsports! Davin was determined to get on the track despite the rainout at Winchester Speedway! Heading North to Hagerstown Speedway, he won his Heat Race! The first Heat Race Victory of the season! Regardless of this, because of home-track rules, those with track points started in front of him, so he had to start P6. A great launch of the first green flag, and just like that Davin was in Third! He battled all night with those in the Top 3, taking the lead briefly at one point, but because of shoving the nose on turn 2, he ended up finishing P3!!! His SIXTH podium of the year! Tomorrow we’re back at Winchester to prepare for the Budd Armel Tribute Race on June 1, and the videographer SHOULD be back from Florida, so we hope to have better footage. Special Thanks to WRT Speedwerx for allowing Almost Home Motorsports to use their footage!
It was one of those kinda nights. A lot of moisture, and 4 classes running meant the track was heavy, rough and FAST. We ran fasted in Warm-ups, but tonight they decided to use a pill draw rather than time to set the Heat Races. This meant we started in the rear and had to battle to keep whatever we had. Davin had a GREAT car, but positioning is everything! He was in P3 on the last lap and tried to throw a Hail Mary to go for 2nd and nearly LOST it! He managed to gather it up and get back on the throttle, but the car behind him slipped by at the line, giving us P4… Disappointing we didn’t get our 3rd podium in a row, but it was our 5th Top 5 in a row! It won’t be long until we get those CHECKERS! 😁🏁🏁🏁
Davin "Kid" Kaiser had a SOLID night, placing FIRST in his group for Time Trials, SECOND in his Heat Race, and Starting P4, climbed to P3, where he could get to the bumper of P2, but just couldn't do anything to get the pass. SECOND Podium Finish in a row, and FOURTH Top 5 in a row! We're very proud of Davin, David and the hard work they put into this team each and every week. With this level of consistency, the WIN is imminent! Apologies to all the fans for the in-car camera malfunctioning for the Feature event, but we do hope you enjoyed the footage from the Time Trials and Heat Race.
What a NIGHT! (We know it’s a long video, use the scrub bar to skip around!) (Click HERE to go straight to the Green Flag! - 18:21) It took nearly an HOUR to run 20 laps. Caution after caution, and a LOT of good cars dropped out of the race early. Some due to damage , and others with mechanical failures. Davin “Kid” Kaiser started P4, slipped back to P6 on a bad restart, but battled back up to P2 and was challenging the leader! Yet, another caution bunched the field back up, and on the second to last restart he didn’t get the same holeshot he had previously. He ended up slipping one position to finish P3. Still a SOLID night! Qualified P2 in Time Trials (we think he was actually quickest, but his transponder failed, so they reverted to a hand score), P2 in his heat, and P3 podium at the checker… 🏁🏁🏁 We’re VERY proud of Davin, David and the Team! To God be ALL the glory!
What a great day for Almost Home Motorsports! Out of a full field of 25 cars, we started P6, drawing a number “2” pill from our heat race finish of P3. An early kerfuffle forced Davin “Kid” Kaiser to drop back to P9, but he was able to battle back, many times taking it THREE WIDE and threading needles to come back up to Fifth Place! That’s Two Top Fives in a Row. To start off the 2024 Season. We’re excited to take the show on the road next weekend to “The Bullring” of Tyler County Speedway for the RUSH Late Model Season Opener!
What a fantastic night at Winchester Speedway! Didn’t qualify well, but Davin battled back in the heat race to finish P3, giving him a P6 starting position for the Feature!! He raced clean and hard and advanced to P4 in a well deserved Top 5 with the Limiteds! Looking forward to launching into the RUSH Tour next week with at Tyler County, WV!
Running with the Limiteds for our first race of the season, and we had a disappointing day. The track slicked off pretty quick, and down on power, Davin did not qualify as fast as the other cars with more horsepower. This meant he started in the rear of the heat races, and then two cars spun in front of him, causing him to damage the entire right side of the car during the heat race. This, combined with the shuffling of the racing order, meant that hardly any adjustments were made to the set up of the car because attention was focused on repairing the damage. There wasn’t enough time to do both. Davin was able to hold his own for the first 20 laps, but several accidents all around him with dry, dusty conditions, it forced him to retire early. We’ll get it back together for next week when we will start the first points race of the year with the crates! Thank you to our sponsors who help make this possible! We would like to give a special shout out to two new sponsors, who have just come on board this year. Please welcome Champion Auto Sales of Winchester and the Virginia Opry!
